Here are 5 of my favourite wines to try this season.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSauvignon Blanc ‘Suade’ Astoria Vini\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNormally Italy is not the first country that springs to mind when you think of Sauvignon Blanc, so to have a first-class Sauvignon Blanc from Italy is quite unusual.\u003cbr\u003eComing from Astoria’s own estate in North East Italy, this is a fresh, crisp and structured wine with a really refreshing finish that will not disappoint and will make a good talking point with your friends.\u003cbr\u003eIt also works really well with food and in my view much better than the rich and tropical style produced in other countries.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMalbec reserve Mi terruno Mandoza Argentina\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMalbec is very much an in-fashion grape at the moment and usually, when this happens, we see the general quality of most wines go down as they become easier to sell.\u003cbr\u003eNone of that here at the Mi Terruno winery in Mendoza. Rigorous selection produces a rich smooth and velvety wine with a lovely rich finish and great length.\u003cbr\u003eIdeal with casseroles and red meat dishes at this time of year.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSenorio de San Vicente Rioja Spain\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe first vintage of this single vineyard Rioja was 1991 and the Eguren family were one of the first producers to break the mould in Rioja for producing outstanding single vineyard wines.\u003cbr\u003eThe wine was produced in a method to make the best wine possible and not just to have the name ‘Reserva’ or ‘Gran Reserva’ on the label.\u003cbr\u003eThe vineyards are now mature and produce outstanding fruit to make this elegant, powerful and complex wine which never disappoints.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOld Vines Garnacha Dominio Laidi Carinena Spain\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis quite unknown region just south of Rioja was new to our range a few years ago and has become a favourite with many private and restaurant customers alike.\u003cbr\u003eThe old vines give great concentration to this wine which has silky smooth tannins and a lovely red fruit finish and is great value for money.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSavigny Les Beaune ‘Bas Liards’ Pierre Meurgey Burgundy France\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAlthough we have known Pierre Meurgey for many years it is only quite recently that we have had his wines under the Pierre Meurgey label.\u003cbr\u003eThis is classic red Burgundy at its best and Pierre has done a fantastic job with this delicious wine.\u003cbr\u003eGo on spoil yourself with a great Red Burgundy that won’t break the bank and will definitely put a smile on your face from one of the best wine-producing regions in the world.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","products":[],"url":"https:\/\/finewineoffers.co.uk\/collections\/richards-wine-recommendations-for-winter.oembed","provider":"Fine Wine Offers","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
