Rather, it is used to add herbal flavours to \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.gerrardseel.co.uk\/collections\/corvina-corvinone\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Corvina\"\u003eCorvina \u003c\/a\u003ebased wines and to flesh out the blend.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCorvina shares more than just traditional blending practices with Rondinella, as DNA profiling in the early 21st century established it as a parent variety to Rondinella. Like its parent, Rondinella has thick skin that is resistant to rot and well suited to the \u003cem\u003eappassimento\u003c\/em\u003e method of drying grapes.
