Chateau Meyney, a famous wine from St Estephe was a little in the doldrums for some years in the early 2000s but it seems that since 2011 it has been back to its former glory. This vintage was quite fortunate for the property in that it managed to avoid a big hailstorm that caused chaos for many other properties in the area.
It is a bold wine with savoury notes such as black olives in the bouquet against the ripe fruit flavours. Fairly well endowed on the palate this will drink well for some years to come and provide lots of pleasure. Delicious!
