Astoria's Mina Rosé represents the lighter, more refreshing side of Veneto winemaking, crafted from estate-grown Pinot Grigio and Pinot Nero in the foothills of the Prosecco DOCG zone. This 2023 vintage delivers the crisp, mineral-driven character that makes Veneto rosés so food-friendly, with delicate red berry fruit balanced by bright acidity.

This rosé is crafted for immediate pleasure and will show best in its first two years. The primary fruit will remain vibrant through 2027, after which the wine will begin to lose its fresh character - its charm lies in the pure expression of fruit and terroir captured at bottling.

Tasting Notes

AppearancePale coral pink with brilliant clarity and no sediment.

NoseFresh strawberry and raspberry fruit with white peach undertones. Clean mineral character with subtle floral lift. No oak influence, keeping the aromatics pure and focused.

PalateLight to medium body with crisp acidity driving red berry flavours across the palate. Dry finish with good mineral length. The Pinot Nero adds structure whilst Pinot Grigio provides freshness and elegance.

FinishClean and refreshing with lingering mineral character and a touch of citrus zest.

Overall impressionA well-balanced, food-friendly rosé that exemplifies the Italian approach to everyday elegance.

Food Pairings

In Veneto, rosés like this accompany the region's lighter fare perfectly - think risotto di mare with fresh seafood, grilled branzino with herbs, and the classic antipasti of San Daniele prosciutto with figs. Local favourites include baccalà mantecato served with polenta, fresh mozzarella di bufala with tomatoes, and the region's excellent crudi preparations featuring raw fish with olive oil and lemon.

Best consumed by 2028 whilst the fruit remains fresh. This style doesn't improve with age - its appeal lies in youthful vibrancy and clean mineral character.

Is this a dry rosé?
