- Mixed Case
Bordeaux: A byword for elegance and class in the world of wine. This superb mixed case encapsulates the very best of the wonderful world of Bordeaux wines, and features some absolute gems from the very best producers in the region.
Managed by the Bonnie family, owners of Malartic-Lagravière, and utilising the services of esteemed wine consultant Michel Rolland, Château Gazin Rocquencourt's limestone terroir really shines in the cooler 2014 vintage, with impressive balance, excellent fruit purity, mid-palate richness and depth. Full of super-ripe cherry and pomegranate, with hints of dry spice, new leather and sandalwood, it’s a polished, gorgeous wine and will go down a treat alongside dishes such as beef, roast chicken and veal.
Hailing from Graves - Bordeaux's illustrious white wine region - the 2019 Château Trebiac Blanc is made from 100% Semillon grapes; creating a zesty and fresh wine with a lovely mineral drive which pairs amazingly with lighter seafood dishes and salads.
The 2018 Vignobles Siozard Villa Lucanius is an appealing blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and bursting with black fruits and spice, it brings together power, elegance, density and finesse in a bottle.
Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is renowned for its bold yet refined red wines, epitomising the very best of the Left Bank's terroir. Their 2020 Madame de Beaucaillou stays true to this tradition; a lovely balance of juicy berry and velvety chocolate with walnut undertones. With an intense nose of black, iodine and iris petals scents and grainy tannins, this is a wine well worth seeking out!
A deliciously fragrant white, the 2018 Vignobles Siozard, Château Lapinesse Cuvée Prestige Blanc has a nose full of peach, lime and grapefruit with subtle fresh lemon and apple on the palate. Grown in limestone soils, this wine will pair well with pan fried lemon sole, creamy prawn risotto, or any buttery fish - sensational!
Characterised by a deep colour with a very expressive nose full of black fruits and spices, the 2020 Château Sénéjac packs lots of fullness and intensity in the mouth, whilst remaining suave and civilised due to its smooth tannins. Charming when drunk young for its fullness and fruit or better still, let it age to build up its earthy aromas.
