Offering a spicy, savoury richness, this has plenty of black and red fruits and a rich kirsch character leading to toasted bread and hints of Chinese five spice on the palate. Medium bodied yet packed with ripe, juicy fruits, this charming wine offers toasted nuts and sweet red cherries and whilst delicious in its youth, will drink exceptionally in a few years time.
A blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault and Viognier, this is a match made in Heaven with grilled or roasted red meats, pastas with meat sauce and aged Gouda or Gruyère.
One of South Africa's most famous golfers, Ernie's winery can be found on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain right in the very heart of Stellenbosch. With established winemaker Louis Strydom leading the project since its inaugural vintage in 2000, these wines are renowned for offering style and class in every bottle.
