A nose that opens with aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry and plum layered with sweet vanilla, toasted coconut and subtle spice from ageing in American oak barrels. Smooth and well-rounded on the palate, juicy red and black fruit flavours are complemented by hints of mocha, clove and a touch of leather leading to a lingering, gently oaked finish.
Pairs beautifully with grilled meats, stews and hard cheeses.
Founded in 2003 by Miguel Antonio Esteban and Asuncíon Martín, this 400-hectare winery located in the foothills of the Sierra de Algairen mountains is renowned for producing wines of great character and flavour thanks to the Cariñena Protected Designation of Origin's rocky terrain.
