Luigi Righetti Amarone della Valpolicella, 2021

The 2021 Amarone from Luigi Righetti is bold, generous, and richly textured. Deep ruby in colour, it opens with classic aromas of dried cherry, fig, sweet tobacco, and dark chocolate. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, offering layers of ripe black fruit, raisin, espresso, and warm spice. Firm tannins and a balanced freshness carry through to a long, warming finish that’s both powerful and refined.

Produced using partially dried Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, this Amarone is vinified in the traditional style and aged in large oak casks to enhance complexity without overpowering the fruit. Luigi Righetti, based in the heart of Valpolicella Classico, has a long history of crafting structured, approachable wines with character. The 2021 vintage is drinking beautifully now but has the structure to evolve gracefully over the next decade.
