A delicate salmon-pink hue with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is vivid and expressive, offering notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, blood orange, and rose petals, underpinned by subtle brioche and spice. On the palate, it's fresh and rounded, with a silky mousse and a balance of red fruit brightness and citrus tension.
The finish is crisp, floral, and subtly creamy, making it ideal for aperitifs or pairing with tuna tartare, duck, or berry desserts.
Founded in 1729, Ruinart is the oldest established Champagne house, celebrated for its refined, Chardonnay-forward style and luminous presentation. The Rosé Brut NV blends Chardonnay (45%) and Pinot Noir (55%, a portion vinified as red wine), sourced largely from Premier Cru vineyards, creating a Champagne of elegance and aromatic depth.
What the critics say:
"Light orange. Sharply focused red berry and tangerine scents are complicated by suggestions of allspice and cinnamon, with a hint of smokiness in the background. Sappy and minerally on the palate, offering fresh strawberry and blood orange flavours lifted by juicy acidity. Packs a serious punch but carries no excess weight and finishes stony and very long, with echoing red berry character. "
"An enticing properly dry rosé with a slew of red berry aromas, including wild strawberries, but behind this is the structure of a serious chardonnay from the chalky soils of this region and it is the chalky texture that anchors this on the long finish. Drink now."
