In the glass, it’s a deep ruby with aromatic layers of black cherry, red plum, and wild herbs, accented by earthy undertones, violet, and a touch of oak spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with firm yet polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and flavours of dark berry, liquorice, and a savoury, slightly gamey edge. The finish is long and persistent, with a mineral core that speaks to its limestone terroir.

Domaine du Clos Frantin is a jewel in the portfolio of Maison Albert Bichot, based in Nuits-Saint-Georges itself.
